About Josie

JOSIE HUNG is a queer, non-binary, Taiwanese American actor based in Los Angeles.

Josie loves using the power of storytelling to ignite conversations, imagine new realities, and inspire change. From drama to comedy, theatrical to commercial, sci-fi to romance, Josie has brought to life a variety of characters in an array of genres.

Their film “Maps” premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, screened in select theaters nationwide before Jordan Peele's Nope, and is now available on Hulu (Rising Voices, S2EP8).

Josie’s films have screened at Cannes, Tribeca, LA Shorts, Mammoth Film Festival, Am Doc Film Fest, Sunscreen Film Fest, Houston International Film Festival, and more.

Outside of acting, Josie also plays flute, traditional Chinese bamboo flute (dizi and xiao), and taiko drums, and studies Chinese mixed martial arts.
